Cheap and Easy Indoor Chipping

The last time I practiced chipping was almost two months ago. I have been keeping my full swing in decent shape by using a friend's simulator and a net I can set up in my garage.

Plus I am keeping my putter on line with a putting mat and mirror in my living room. Here is my blog where I discuss how this works.

I have been worried that my chipping, which is normally a strong part of my game, has gone south. Chipping takes feel and touch. During the golf season I work on my short game a great deal. It seems like the more I practice the better I chip on the course. Last week I came up with a cheap and easy way to practice chipping using a small area in my garage.

The whole setup looks like this:

I simply used a bucket, a small chipping mat and a few squares of interlocking gym type floor matting. All things I already had laying around in my garage.

I was up and chipping in no time.
